In the Wake of Hurricane Ike: A Storage-Centric Business Continuity Plan

Champion Technologies has implemented a storage-centric global data center design.  Central to their approach is a virtualized SAN which provides for replication of data to the backup data center.  This approach was tested recently when Hurricane Ike roared through Houston forcing Champion to move its global IT operations to it backup site.  This case study discusses storage from the perspective of data center design and its impact on business continuity.
